Nivà Porto There are stories that begin almost by chance. Others arise from a love for the genuine and for tradition, like Nivà, a family story that was born twenty-five years ago under a good star: the Michelin star.
It was in the year 1988, when Diana De Benedetti and her husband Silvio Rivolta opened their Bontan in the hills of Turin, uniting their passion for good food with a deep respect for locally produced raw materials. Today, the love for authentic flavors is found in the ice cream that Diana and Dalia, daughter of art, handcraft to offer customers the pleasure of experiencing all the flavors at once.

Ice cream, granita and cakes convey, through their flavor and consistency, all the artisan passion with which they are conceived. The products are not tasted, but slowly savored in order to feel each minute sensation and live, thus, a superior experience.

Exclusively Italian milk from the Alps, hazelnuts from Piedmont, pine nuts from our land, roasted ground coffee, hand-crushed fondant chocolate. These are some of the ingredients that make Nivà ice cream truly unique. Seasonal fruit always plays a major role in the flavor chart, and some of it is right next door, selected directly from small producers who provide a special and tasty variety: Burè Roca pear, Ramassin plums, white-skinned vine peaches... Also the granitas are prepared only with fresh fruit and freshly picked herbs, made into infusions like mint, or into syrup, like elderflower.
