Porto Timoni beach

Kriou Nerou, Greece

One of Corfu’s most stunning locales is Porto Timoni. Only accessible by foot or boat, this undeveloped double beach is definitely worth the trip because the turquoise sea is stunning and ideal for swimming and snorkeling.

I strongly advise arriving early to take advantage of this popular location’s most stunning moments (and coolest). We have hiked there three times since we adore it so much.

In this article, I provide directions to Porto Timoni, information about the hike and alternative options, and advice on how to get the most out of your trip.

How Long is the Porto Timoni Hike?
If you choose the direct path, it will take you 1.1 kilometres (0.7 miles) to walk from Afionas to the twin bays of Porto Timoni.

With a gain in elevation of 139 meters (456 feet), it takes us 20 to 30 minutes to descend (depending on how many shots we take) and 25 to ascend.

Here are approximate driving times to Afionas from other destinations in Corfu:

  • Agios Georgios Pagon – 5 minutes
  • Arillas – 10 minutes
  • Sidari – 20 minutes
  • Paleokastritsa – 45 minutes
  • Kassiopi – 50 minutes
  • Corfu Town (Kerkyra) – 1 hour
  • Kavos – 2 hours
