Stockholm is the biggest city of Sweden. It is located on 14 islands and each of them has its own exclusivity. Three of them unite into the Gamla Stan - Old Town that includes Royal Palace, City hall, Royal Court. It is connected to the rest of islands by a range of bridges. Djurgården island is filled with wide diversity of museums for any tourist. ABBA Museum, Vasa Museum, open-air museum Skansen are open to the visitors almost every day during the year.

Tips:

There are free walking tours in the city. So that’s a good thing to save money and visit the main sightseeings.

The best season to visit Stockholm is from June to September, when the days are longer. However, you need to have some extra-costs for stay in the hotels.
The Olympics were held here. Stockholm hosted the biggest sporting event in history in 1912. Stockholm, however, held the Summer Olympics as opposed to Oslo, which hosted the Winter Olympics in 1952. There were more than 2,400 contestants from 28 different countries.
The metro is well-known. The majority of the city's metro stations are home to murals, sculptures, and other art pieces, earning them the moniker "world's longest art gallery." The initiative has involved 150 artists.
